Big thanks to everyone who joined us for the Solstice Gathering at the Tribal Grounds!
We had a great turnout with and a wonderful time together, enjoying our Nannup grounds; Songs by the fire, sharing in circle, kids playing everywhere. Gratitude to our cooks for filling our bellies, and Wally for marking trails for us through the neighbouring forest. Huge gratitude to everyone for their efforts and expertise! Our Busy Bee was an amazing creative hive of activity.
We have a cute new hangout area in the shed, outdoor wash station near the fire, and a long awaited new curtain for the toilet! An epic bonfire made a large dent in the debris, and cleared way for future native plants. A new batch of natives went in around the dam and creek entry, and the hut garden has a variety of new herbs and succulents. Plus a small native flowering tree the birds will love. Plus we had a small ceremony to remember the late David Bell and add his plaque to Ancestor Hill.
So many projects got done, so many things were checked and cleaned and spruced up, the place is looking loved!
